A man killed in a two-vehicle collision near Acton has been identified.
Humberto Balderrama, 48, was a resident of California City in Kern County, according to the coroner’s office.
Officers were called at 1:15 a.m. Friday to State Route 14 North and the Ward Road on-ramp near Acton, where they found one of the vehicles had overturned and the other was about 100 feet up an embankment, Officer Patrick Kimball of the California Highway Patrol said.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation at press time.
