Playa Vista Job Opportunities and Business Services (PVJOBS) recently announced the appointment of Mary Taylor as interim executive director. She will serve in an interim capacity for 90 days. After that time, the board will vote to remove the interim designation.

“Mary has a proven record of cultivating fruitful partnerships that benefit our participants,” said PVJOBS Board Member Valerie Shaw. “In her most recent role as associate director, Mary expanded our reentry programming budget by $6 million, accessing federal and state funding for case management, pre-apprenticeship training, legal services, mentoring and mental health services for more than 400 local residents returning from incarceration.”

Taylor has served PVJOBS in various capacities since 2009. She recently completed her Master’s degree in Public Administration-Nonprofit Management from CSU Dominguez Hills.

“Being in service to others was a big part of my life growing up,” Taylor said. “I’m excited to be leading an organization that has a significant impact on its participants, their families and the community as a whole.”
