Debbie Allen dancers perform at CAAM this Sunday

The Debbie Allen Dance Academy DADA Ensemble will perform dances inspired by Cross Colours: Black Fashion in the 20th Century and Hip Hop music at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 at the California African American Museum (CAAM), 600 State Dr., LA.

The free event, titled “Animate Space,” is organized by CAAM, which was founded in 1977 to research, collect, preserve and interpret the history, art and culture of African-Americans, with an emphasis on California and the Western United States.

The exhibit “Cross Colours: Black Fashion in the 20th Century” will be on display at CAAM through August 23. Galleries are open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit https://caamuseum.org.
