Fifth Annual Sutro Festival Saturday in Leimert Park

On Saturday, Aug. 3, South LA will celebrate the Fifth Annual Sutro Avenue Soirée & Jazz Festival on Sutro Avenue between 42nd and 43rd streets in Leimert Park, from noon to 7 p.m. Admisison is free.

The event will feature a live DJ, and a jazz lounge with an immense artist line up, including Pete Escovedo, a two-time Emmy-nominated producer and musical director. Also on the bill is Lynne Fiddmont, an in-demand studio and touring singer, Derf Reklaw – a world renown multi-instrumentalist, composer, lecturer, and educator will be present, as well as singer-songwriter Karen A. Clark. Other artists will include, Maestro The Vocalinist, the Myron McKinley Trio, and Fernando Pullum.

The popular music and arts festival each year plays a vital part promoting family, community and the arts. It also offers a wine lounge, as well as various food trucks, a kids’ zone, health and wellness zone, a voter registration booth, prize drawings, and more.
