Hip hop artist and entrepreneur Jay Z has joined an elite group that includes Oprah Winfrey and Michael Jordan – he is a billionaire. A number of news sources, including Forbes and Variety, has confirmed the achievement and actually earned him a cover on business magazine Forbes. Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has meticulously built an empire that over the years included his own clothing line, a cognac brand and of course the streaming service Tidal. According to the Forbes piece, he also has made investments in companies Armand de Brignac (champagne), Uber, real estate and has an art collection worth $70 million.
