‘Music in the Parks ‘ in Palmdale

The city of Palmdale will host eight free “Music in the Parks” outdoor events this summer beginning June 6 and running eight consecutive weeks (excluding July 4),  alternating between Poncitlán Square, 9th St. East between Ave. Q9 & Ave. Q-10, and Domenic Massari Park, 37716 55th St. East.

“Music in the Parks” will run from 6 to 8 p.m. and include live music, kid activities, dance lessons, and food trucks. Free dance lessons will be held before the event at 5:30 p.m.

“Come with your family and friends and enjoy great tunes from local bands, including new artists,” said Joi Chrtisty, senior program leader. “Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit back and enjoy the beautiful summer evening in Palmdale.”

The schedule features: Thursday, June 6 – Seventh Switch – Classic Rock, Cumbias, Rock en Español, Country, Reggae, Disco/Funk, Calypso, Rockabilly, Tex-Mex, 80’s and more.  Food trucks: Tacos El Superior and Kona Ice. Family friendly games including  croquet, giant checkers, chalk art, and more.

Poncitlán Square  Thursday, June 13 – POP Vision – Top 40 -All ages and experiences are encouraged to attend.   Food trucks: Izzy’s Taco House and Paleteria Y Dulceria Jessie.  Family friendly games  including giant soccer, giant Jenga, chalk art, and more.

Domenic Massari Park  Thursday, June 20 –The Akoustiks – a twist of flavor and soul. Food trucks: Spyro Gyros, Paleteria Y Dulceria Jessie.  Recreation & Family friendly games  including croquet, giant checkers, chalk art, and more.

Poncitlán Square Thursday, June 27 – On Tap – Classic Rock, Pop, Country, Blues & Oldies

Domenic Massari Park  Thursday, July 11 – Runaway – Country

Poncitlán Square  Thursday, July 18  – Code Red – Everything from Rock to Country

Domenic Massari Park  Thursday, July 25 – The Dance Band – R&B/Classics

Poncitlán Square  Thursday, August   – TBD Domenic Massari Park
