The city of Palmdale’s South Antelope Valley Emergency Services (SAVES), 1002 E. Ave. Q-9, is seeking volunteers to assist in preparing to serve over 500 local families during the holiday season.
Volunteers are needed to assist staff to organize and document incoming toy/gift donations, organize and document incoming food donations, pack holiday meal packages, assist program parents to select age appropriate gifts for their children and wrap gifts.
“You can make a huge impact on the lives of those less fortunate in our community simply by donating a few spare hours of your time,” said SAVES Coordinator Patricia Morales. Shifts are available Dec. 15, 9 a.m. to noon, and Dec 17- 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 1 to 6 p.m.
