Inglewood offers free movie screenings

The city of Inglewood will begin this weekend its 2018 Movies in the Park Series.  The entire community is encouraged to grab their blankets and lawn chairs and head out for an unforgettable evening of cinema under the stars.

All movies are FREE and open to the public. Bring 10 recyclable items and receive a voucher for free popcorn. Gates open at 6 p.m. Arrive early for special pre-movie performances, games, arts and crafts, face painting, food trucks and more!

Movies scheduled for the series include:

• “The Incredibles” (PG) on Saturday, July 14 at Darby Park , 3400 W. Arbor Vitae

• “Coco” (PG) on Saturday, Aug. 4 at Inglewood City Hall, One W. Manchester Boulevard

• “Black Panther” (PG-13) on Saturday, Aug. 8 at Edward Vincent, Jr. Park, 700 Warren Lane

This event is sponsored by the city’s Recreation and Library Services and Public Works departments with partial grant funding from Cal Recycle.
