The city of Carson will host this evening its annual tribute to the late labor leader Cesar Chavez. Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. at Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald Community Center, 801 E. Carson St.
Activities will include mariachi music, folklorico dancers, spoken word poetry, a video presentation and the announcement of art poster/essay contest winners.
