The Palmdale Repertory Theater this weekend will present an original production of the popular Addams Family comedy at the Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th St. East. Performances tonight and tomorrow are at 8 p.m., with a Sunday matinee scheduled for 2 p.m. The troupe will again perform the show Oct. 21-22 at the same timeslots.
The comedy will feature an original story which may be every parent’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. If that weren’t upsetting enough to most parents, Wednesday confides to her father, Gomez, and begs him not to tell her mother, Morticia. Everything will change for the “creepy and kooky” family on the fateful night they host dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
