The city of Palmdale is presenting a second installment of the “Ruth & Kery Are Everywhere” contest which promotes the new public safety video series “This Is How We Roll, Palmdale.”

The contest coincides with the summer season at DryTown Water Park and contestants will have a chance to win free passes. “This Is How We Roll, Palmdale” is a monthly show that provides valuable community information in a fun and humorous way. Available on Palmdale Channel 27 and the city’s YouTube channel, “City of Palmdale,” the latest episode is titled “Scam Wars: A New Hoax” which is the first in a trilogy of videos focused on preventing identity theft.

“We’ll be giving away daily passes at DryTown for the most creative photo submissions of ‘Flat Ruth & Kery’ anywhere you want to take them,” said Rush Oschmann, Palmdale crime prevention officer. Winners will be notified and prizes awarded during the last week of May, June, July and August. Participants may submit as many photographs as they wish; the last day for submissions is Aug. 22.

Persons wishing to participate in the contest must visit www.cityofpalmdale.org and download the artwork. The site includes complete instructions for participants to begin posting to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter (the latter at #flatruthandkery).

Palmdale students in grades K-4 can receive a “Flat Ruth and Kery” cutout via the Palmdale Neighborhood Services Department. School officials have the details.
