Gas Prices Rising Again

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent today to $2.862, the 10th increase in 11 days. The average price has risen 4.4 cents over the past 11 days, including one-tenth of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price is 3.2 cents more than one week ago, but 1.7 cents less than a month ago and 97.4 cents lower than one year ago. The Orange County average price was unchanged, remaining at $2.841, ending a stretch of 10 increases in 11 days totaling 3.5 cents. The average price is 2.4 cents more than one week ago, but 2.7 cents less than a month ago and 98.4 cents lower than one year ago.
