Inglewood future developments, public safety to be discussed

Inglewood Mayor James Butts will hold a town hall meeting on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Living Room, 400 W. Inglewood Blvd.

In this semi-annual address to the public, Butts will review this year’s accomplishments and share upcoming milestones for 2015. Among the topics that will be discussed are the city budget, major development projects, the possibility of bringing a national football team to the city of Inglewood, the Hollywood Park Project and jobs for local residents, the reconstruction of Centinela Hospital, and the redevelopment of Market Street in downtown Inglewood. Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) will make a presentation on federal legislation relative to Inglewood residents, and the Inglewood Police Mark Fronterotta will discuss public safety as well as crime statistics.

Members of the Inglewood City Council as well as the city manager will also be present at the event.
