On Saturday, Lancaster’s Museum of Art and History (MOAH) will host a 60’s-surfing-scene themed Endless Summer exhibition party from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. The public is invited to come enjoy this celebration marking the opening of MOAH’s new surf-centric summer exhibit.

The free event will include live music from  So Long Sucker; and a reunion concert by the Neurotones. This event will also include a vintage car show and a host of family fun activities. MOAH’s new exhibit will feature photographs by Douglas McCulloh and Jacques Garnier; films by Herbie Fletcher, as well as his exhibition Wrecktangle; paintings by Allison Renshaw; the ART of COOP; vintage pinball machines from the collection of Thumperdome; and featured works by the artists of MANA the film: Craig Skibs Barker, Casper Brindle, Ben Brough, Alex Couwenberg, Ned Evans, Steve Fuchs, Eric Johnson, David Lloyd, Ken Pagliaro, and Alex Weinstein.

“We are so excited to host this amazing celebration showcasing these legendary artists, many of whom will be in attendance for the opening festivities,” said Ronda Perez, Lancaster parks, recreation and arts director. “We are ecstatic to have the community, including BLVD businesses, join in the celebration.”

The Yoga Roots, a yoga studio in downtown Lancaster near the museum, will also host its one-year anniversary celebration. The public is invited to attend from 1-4 p.m. for live music from a local band; food catered by The Lemon Leaf Café; and giveaways donated from Panache, The Lemon Leaf Café, and more.

“This will be a fun celebration to thank the community for an awesome year in our new location and for their continued support,” said Shannon Quigley, owner and instructor of the studio. “Everyone is invited to drop in and see what The Yoga Roots is all about.”

MOAH and The Yoga Roots are both located on The BLVD in downtown Lancaster, at 665 W. Lancaster Blvd, and 641 W Lancaster Blvd, Suite 201, respectively. For more information on The Yoga Roots, visit www.TheYogaRoots.com.
