LANCASTER, Calif. — Sheriff’s detectives in Lancaster today were investigating how a hacker used an incarcerated man’s Facebook page to post a threat Monday about shooting people at Antelope Valley College.

Detectives got a search warrant to pinpoint the IP address and determined that someone used the school’s Wi-Fi service to post the threat on a Facebook page belonging to 24-year-old John Takashima, a homeless man who was found in custody, according to deputies at the sheriff’s Lancaster station.

“He hasn’t had access to any kind of device since September 4th,” a sheriff’s lieutenant said.

Anyone with more information about who could have posted the threat was asked to call detectives at (661) 948-8466.
