HMS Host, a major concession operator at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), will interview applicants for more than 280 food service positions on July 20 and July 27. The positions include fast food attendant/cashier, barista, bartender, expeditor, cook, host/hostess, shift supervisor, utility/cleaner, and runner/warehouse.

Candidates must apply for the positions online at www.lawa.org/bjrc no later than July 18, to be considered for a prescheduled interview at this invitation-only job fair, which will be held on July 20 and 27. Interviews will be held between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.

Resumes will be pre-screened, and selected applicants will receive an email invitation with a job fair appointment date, time and location information. All candidates must also apply at www.hmshost.com. Click on “Careers” and look at the openings under the location tab “Los Angeles, CA 90045.”

Job descriptions are posted on the website at www.lawa.org/bjrc.

For these and other LAX job openings, candidates must select the “Search Job Opening” option to apply for a specific position. Applicants are asked to read the entire job posting and pay special attention to any specific requirements listed, such as education, shift available, and other applicant instructions.

Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Business and Job Resources Center is coordinating the targeted recruitment job fair for HMS Host restaurants.

“LAWA’s First Source Hiring Program gives applicants an opportunity to step to the head of the line in consideration for these open airport positions,” said Joyce Sloss, director of the Business

and Job Resources Center that manages the First Source Hiring Program. “Qualified candidates applying on our website will have the opportunity to be interviewed for these positions before the general public.”

All candidates must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a 10-year security background screening necessary to work on airport property. On the day of the job fair, selected candidates must bring a resume, proof of eligibility to work in the U.S., and two forms of valid photo identification to complete LAX badging applications.

For additional information on these and other non-construction jobs at LAX, view the website at www.lawa.org/bjrc or visit the LAWA Business and Job Resources Center office located at 6053 W. Century Blvd., Suite 300, Los Angeles 90045. The BJRC is open Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
