Grammy-nominated singer Kelly Price delivered on her promise to return when she kicked off a preview of “Kelly Price: For the Love of R&B” at the Savoy Entertainmnet Center last Tuesday night.
Signed and unsigned R&B artists alike were given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform alongside Kelly and her band. Highlights included surprise appearances by Chante Moore, Lil’ Mo, Claudette Ortiz (City High), Michel’le, and Dawn Robinson (EnVogue). The evening was a huge success. The Savoy has given Price and her band an encore every Thursday night.
Each week Price, who has worked with the best in the business, will invite several of her closest friends and fellow entertainers to share the stage for impromptu performances.
The Savoy has attracted such top industry names as Jamie Foxx, Kenny Lattimore, Angie Stone, Chris Tucker, Stevie Wonder, Melanie Fiona, Tank and many more. The center offers an intimate setting where an artist is able to experience one of the most interactive and engaging audiences anywhere. The Savoy is home to the artist.
