Facility fire could not destroy Far West Meats

Returning to the same location where its sausage-making facility had burned to the ground in July 2010, Far West Meats has resumed full production of its smoked sausage and meats in Southern California.

For more than 85 years the company has been a local manufacturer, making easily identifiable products that can be found in distinctive multi-colored window boxes in markets throughout area. The product lineup includes beef sausage (hot and mild), Louisiana (hot and mild), chicken (hot and mild) and the new “Red Hots.”

During the period in which the new structure was being rebuilt, customers could still find Far West Meats products on their market shelves, but now the meats are once again produced locally, using the company’s own old-country recipes that customers had grown to expect over the years.

Far West Meats thanks its customers for their support and trust that they will continue that support. To make sure their customers receive the best possible value, Far West Meats has teamed up with retailers to promote weekly specials with hopes of once again becoming the No. 1 choice for smoked sausage and hot links.

Retail partners include Albertsons, Cardenas, El Super, Food-4-Less, Northgate, Ralphs, Smart and Final, Stater Bros., Superior, Vallartas and Walmart.
