The Metropolitan Transit Authority (Metro) is making a number of key changes in its bus service beginning June 17.

The changes include:
*Elimination of Line 305, which travels from South Los Angeles to West Hollywood. The 305 service on San Vicente Boulevard will be replaced by lines 30 and 330, which can be picked up on Pico Boulevard, but Line 305 will be totally discontinued. Portions of the line will be replaced by a reconfigured 217 line with all trips extended to the Metro Expo Line La Cienega/Jefferson station and selected trips traveling further south along the old 439 route to the Culver City Transit Center.

*Line 740, which traveled from downtown Los Angeles to the South Bay Galleria is now traveling north on Western Avenue at Martin Luther King Boulevard to connect with the Expo Line. It will no longer go downtown.

Passengers going downtown will need to use the Expo Line Train, and those traveling south need to use Line 40.

*The 730 bus on Pico Boulevard will be replaced with Line 330 and will operate during peak hours with limited stops. The line will make all stops on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles along with new stops at Pico/Arlington and Pico/Crenshaw.

*Line 42 traveling from the LAX City Bus Center to downtown L.A. will be renumbered Line 102.

*Service on the 102 Line west of Western Avenue has been discontinued and passengers will need to use the Metro Expo Line.

*On line 550, all weekday rush-hour trips will end at the USC/Expo Park train station. Non-rush hour stops will end at the Artesia Train Center and service to West Hollywood has been replaced by lines 30 and 330.

*Line 607 has been modified to travel in a clockwise route to Beach and Centinela where it will turn left on to La Tijera then right and resume its regular route. This will enable the line to serve the Ladera Center at that intersection.

*Line 202 will now serve the Gateway Towne Center on Alameda Street across from the Metro Blue Line Artesia Station in Compton.

*A new stop has been added to the following lines to service the Metro Expo train–Line 705 at La Cienega/Jefferson; and Line 754 at Vermont Avenue; and 757 at Western Avenue.

Minor changes have also been made to other lines as well. For details, call (323) Go Metro or (323) 466-3876.
