R & B sensation and “Oprah” Show Karaoke winner Abraham McDonald will continue the spirit of giving when he holds the last performance of his “Home for the Holidays” concert series.

The Luther Vandross-style crooner will perform his sultry yuletide single “Giving You My Heart,” which is now available on iTunes, his ballad “Miracle” and other hits at Busby’s Mile High Club on Dec. 28 in Los Angeles.

Part of the proceeds will go to the Rowell Foster Care Children’s Positive Plan (RFCPP), founded in 1990 by actress Victoria Rowell, best known for her starring role on “Young & the Restless.”

“In 1990, with my acting career in full swing, I started RFCCP, a non profit charitable organization offering scholarships to help children in foster care thrive through participation in fine arts classes, sports camps, and cultural enrichment activities. Our goal is simple,” said Rowell, “to help children who would otherwise not have a chance to reach their full potential. We strive to offer children the same long-term commitment and opportunities that foster parents, social workers, and mentors can provide. “

Rowell recalls growing up in foster care as well, and credits much of her success to being enrolled in classical ballet classes at an early age; she said that the discipline it took to perfect that art, conditioned her to be able to handle challenges she faced later in life.

Over the past two decades, RFCPP has sponsored hundreds of children in foster care, some of whom have gone on to pursue careers in the arts.

McDonald’s concert series began in November, but his career began to blossom, after numerous appearances on “Oprah,” which was followed by a record deal with Island Def Jam and performances on the BudFest Tour.

In addition to entertaining, McDonald is also a dedicated child advocate, which is why he said partnering with the RFCPP was so important to him.

“Victoria’s program has provided the means for foster children to fulfill their potential through involvement in fine arts, sports and other programs,” said McDonald.

Admission to the show is $15. Discounted tickets will be available, if attendees donate a toy, school supply or an electronic device. Busby’s Mile High Club is located at 5364 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles. For more information, call (323) 933-8007.
