BHERC hosts Mothers Day luncheon

Los Angeles, CA — Sandra Evers-Manly, president, Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) will host their 5th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon on Sunday, May 10, 2009.  The BHERC Mother’s Day Luncheon supports women who have lost children to violence, women with children or spouses away in the military, and women in recovery.   One of BHERC’s many visions is to provide hope. For the past four years, event host Sandra Evers-Manly, Founder of BHERC has chosen to share a loving day by gifting women and showering them with love and attention on Mother’s Day.  BHERC creates and executes projects that highlight both the impact and potential resolutions to the domestic and gang violence epidemic in the county of Los Angeles and beyond. One of the BHERC projects “Possibilities Through the Arts” fosters change and creativity by actively engaging youth in the arts, specifically filmmaking. BHERC is a nonprofit, public benefit organization designed to advocate, educate, research, develop, and preserve the history and future of Blacks in film and television. www.bherc.org
