“Revisiting Public Confidence: A Community Day of Dialogue in Inglewood” is being held on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008 at 6 p.m., in the aftermath of recent Inglewood Police Department (IPD) officer-involved shooting incidents that caused community concern and led elected officials to call for independent investigations of IPD by county, state and federal officials. The two-and-a-half hour Inglewood community Day of Dialogue will be open to the public. Refreshments will be provided at the evening event.
Days of Dialogue Chairman Mark Ridley-Thomas; Inglewood City Council Member Danny Tabor; Inglewood Area Minister’s Association; Inglewood Airport Area Chamber of Commerce; Coalition for a Better Inglewood; and members of the California Legislative Black Caucus will co-sponsor the Day of Dialogue on police conduct and public safety in the City of Inglewood at First Church of God, Center of Hope, 9550 Crenshaw Blvd., Inglewood 90305.
To RSVP for the Inglewood community dialogue, call (213) 346-3246 or send an email to info@daysofdialogue.org no later than 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008.
