Donda Wests surgeon arrested for DUI

Adams had performed a breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction on Donda West, 58, last November. West died the day after the surgery of likely heart disease coupled with surgery complications. The Medical Board of California was seeking to suspend or revoke Adams’ license because of prior alcohol-related arrests.
Adams, who was driving his 2004 Jaguar XJ8, was stopped by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), around 2:41 a.m. in the Northern California town of Vallejo.
CHP officers said that Adams appeared to have been driving under the influence of alcohol. The Laguna Beach resident was driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI.
The plastic surgeon was booked into Solano County Jail on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol level above the state’s 0.08% limit and driving on a suspended license.
Adams told news sources after West’s death that nothing went wrong Nov. 9 when he performed the surgeries.
Adams was scheduled for arraignment in Solano County Superior Court on Monday.
