Throughout March
The City of Carson has begun repairing and resurfacing residential streets in all districts. These street repairs include but are not limited to grinding roadway surfaces and applying a new asphalt layer. This ongoing street maintenance program is one of the first of this magnitude for the City of Carson because the work is being done in every district simultaneously.
“We are excited to announce the upcoming street improvements in Carson, the first of this magnitude in our City’s history,” said Carson Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes. “These improvements will greatly enhance safety, accessibility, and overall quality of life for our residents. We appreciate everyone’s patience and support as we work to make Carson an even better place to live, work, and play.”
Construction will take place from Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., except City of Carson observed holidays. There will be “No Parking” signs posted throughout the project area, indicating the dates work will be performed in a specific area. During construction, access to through traffic may be delayed.
The citywide improvement efforts are an ongoing maintenance project.
