Beginning Aug. 14

Los Angeles County’s Department of Public Works has scheduled pavement rehabilitation work on Sierra Highway, from Pearblossom Highway to Avenue S, tentatively set to begin Aug. 14, according to an announcement from the office of Supervisor Kathryn Barger.

The work will consist of rehabilitating the roadway to improve and extend the life of the existing pavement. The roadway is expected to be partially open and traffic will be directed by flagmen during construction. Working hours will be between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Work will be performed by a contractor and inspected by a Los Angeles County construction inspector. The project is scheduled for completion by Sept. 21.

Message boards will be placed to alert residents and commuters of the upcoming project and to look for alternate routes during construction.
