The Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) is featuring a new exhibition by artist Tina Dille at the Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center at the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve. The exhibition will run through Oct. 29, 2023.

Dille’s exhibition, The Muse, reflects the wonder and personalities of Penut, her rescued, semi-tamed raven. Her artwork echoes inspiration from the natural wildlife and domesticated animals of the Tehachapi Mountains. The personalities of the animals she coexists with fuel her distinctive animal portraits, giving life and spirit to each friendly face.

Dille began her artistic career at a young age. Early on, she was drawn to the livestock and ranchers in her hometown of Jerome, Idaho, and the backyard creatures she discovered when her family moved to Southern California.

As an adult, Dille operated a small ceramics business that created and sold hand-painted ceramic animal figurines nationwide. She relocated to the Tehachapi Mountains in 2006 to focus on fine art and immerse herself in the area’s natural wildlife.

The Lancaster Museum of Art and History is dedicated to strengthening awareness, enhancing accessibility, and igniting the appreciation of art, history, and culture in the Antelope Valley through dynamic exhibitions, innovative educational programs, creative community engagement, and a vibrant collection that celebrates the richness of the region. The museum is expected to reopen in Spring of 2023.

The Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center (ECIC), located at the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve, is open every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This center offers tours, Moon Walks, Bird Walks, and more.

Young Artist Workshops are being hosted at MOAH:CEDAR and the ECIC. MOAH is excited about the new MOAH on the Move program to bring art and culture to a park in the community every month during MOAH’s temporary closure.
