R&B artist Solange Knowles’ set will premiere for an audience at the New York City Ballet’s annual Fashion Gala, reports the Huffington Post.
On Aug. 15, the renowned ballet company announced that it had chosen Beyoncé’s younger sister to compose an original score for an upcoming ballet production.
Solange’s involvement makes her the first Black woman and the second woman of color to compose a score for a production by the more than 70-year-old company.
