The whole family is invited to Crenshaw Remembers where they can enjoy the community presence along with some free musical acts; performance art; healing workshops, salon conversations; and wellness activations from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 13 and 14 on the upper east deck of the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall. This event is free with an RSVP via CrenshawCreative.com.

Art will be on display and exhibited for sale, marketplace vendors will be on hand, along with food trucks and local talent throughout this two-day event.

Crenshaw Remembers  is part of The Getty’s project to celebrate its 25th Anniversary by offering free festivals in 10 communities around Los Angeles.

Getty 25 Celebrates Crenshaw is a free arts & wellness family festival celebrating the memories of the Crenshaw District while providing memory-keepers the tools to heal from within. Several experiences are part of the event — a photography installation; an interactive mask making and procession; and the chance to join in the movement, “Creating Our Next LA.”
