Register now for fall classes at Compton College

Create your success story during the fall 2022 semester at Compton College, as they offer a convenient, affordable education for traditional and non-traditional students in an encouraging environment that provides personalized student support to put them on the road to success.

With so many jobs currently available, now is the time to train for a new career or upgrade skills to increase earning power. Compton College offers 42 degree programs and 41 job training certificate programs.

“I have met a lot of people that come from similar backgrounds at Compton College,” said Sadia Escovar, a Spanish and ethnic studies major who will graduate from Compton College on June 10. “It is my place to be, and I don’t know if I would have grown as much as I have academically and professionally if I had gone to another community college.”

Registration is currently open for all students for the fall semester at Compton College. The fall semester begins Aug. 20, with in-person, online, and hybrid classes available.

Students are encouraged to register for classes immediately to ensure the best class selection. All students enrolled during the 2022-2023 school year will receive a free student parking permit and one free meal per day at the Everytable Café on campus.

In addition, Compton College provides financial, academic, and technical support for those in need such as financial aid, tutoring, book vouchers, free laptop and Wi-fi hotspot loans, and referrals for those with housing insecurity.

Enrollment Services are available in Tartar Village-Room 5 near Parking Lot A (off Artesia Blvd.) by appointment or via walk-in assistance; if you walk in, you may be required to wait so appointments are recommended. Fall registration is in progress for all students; apply and register online, 24 hours per day via the Compton College website www.compton.edu. Some fall class sections offer Zero Cost Textbooks (ZCT) and Open Educational Resources (OER), which give students access to high-quality class materials and books at no cost. Classes offering OER/ZCT are listed in the fall 2022 class schedule with a special symbol.

Proof of full vaccination status is required for students attending in-person classes. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status must be submitted via the MyCompton website portal by clicking on the tile labeled “COVID-19 Vaccination – Exemption – Test Submission.” Exemption/Accommodation Forms are available. Compton College is giving a one-time $350 incentive to fully vaccinated students.
