PVJOBS is set to host a special informational session for the community to discuss the organization’s culinary apprenticeship program and job placement services in the hospitality industry. The free informational session will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 29 at 4112 S. Main Street in South Los Angeles.

The informational event is being held to educate individuals about the eight-week culinary apprenticeship program offered by PVJOBS. The staff will also discuss their services which provide job placement assistance to those who complete the culinary apprenticeship program.

“We’re inviting our community to this informational event to introduce them to the culinary field and educate them about how they can pursue a sustainable career in the hospitality industry,” said PVJOBS Executive Director Mary Taylor. “Through this event, we’ll share how we’ve created a pathway for our residents to get the training they need to help them get placed in a career-track culinary job.”

Along with the informational session, the event will conduct a raffle for those in attendance. Raffle winners can receive a $100 gas card or an array of gift cards.  For more call (323) 432-3955.
