Black Writers On Tour and Tech Expo — Embracing Technology — (BWOT) will be a one-day virtual (Zoom) event this year. Organizer Dr. Rosie Milligan says attendees will learn “the new way of doing business post COVID-19”.

The event will take place Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and viewers will meet  author panelists from across the country discussing their writing journeys. My Tech Academy is partnering with BWOT. The theme for 2022 is “Literacy is Everybody’s Business—Literacy + Technology Changes Lives.”

The global conference will include Dr. Claud Anderson and all seminars and workshops are free. Participants will learn how to intertwine tech and literacy in the 21st century. Youth and adults will learn about opportunities in the technology sector.

Authors will virtually display their products and services. Writers will learn how technology can enhance their literary works.

“The COVID-19 shut-down increased readership for all age groups,” Milligan said. “Writers must seize the moment.”

Writer’s workshops throughout the day will cover a variety of topics, including “How To Write, Publish and Sell Your Book Made Simple,” “How To Write A Best-Selling Novel,” “Protecting Your Writing Rights,” “Trademark and Patent Rights” and more. Visit blackwritersontour.com for seminar/topics and the day’s schedule or call (323) 750-3592.
