Apply online in a few easy steps:  http://www.compton.edu/apply/.

Create a success story at Compton College, located at 1111 E. Artesia Boulevard, Compton, offers convenient, affordable education and essential resources for traditional and non-traditional students—all in an encouraging environment that provides personalized student support to put students on the road to success. With more job opportunities now available, it’s the perfect time to train for a job and upgrade skills to increase earning power.

“I decided to attend Compton College not only because it’s very close to home, but it is also affordable and provides transition to a university,” said Casandra Mendoza, a 2021 graduate of Lynwood High School. “It was important for me to enroll in the Oliver W. Connor College Promise program which pays for my enrollment fees for two years, provides registration assistance, and is very helpful financially as I attend my first year at Compton College.”

Compton College is known for its resiliency and how it adapts to community needs. In this time of change, Compton College is a vital community resource. In addition to associate degrees for transfer to a four-year university, Compton College offers training and certificate programs in 12 different occupational fields. Students of all ages may learn a new trade, make a career change, and acquire or upgrade skills to re-enter the workforce with training ranging from 8 to 18 months to complete. Students can earn certificates with no tuition fees through non-credit short-term training.

The college provides financial, academic, and technical support for those in need such as financial aid, tutoring, book vouchers, free laptops and Wi-fi hotspots, free/reduced food resources, and referrals for those with housing insecurity. Compton College enrollment fees are just a fraction of those at four-year counterparts.

High school graduates from the Compton, Lynwood, and Paramount unified school districts who attend Compton College full time (12 units) immediately after graduation are eligible to have their enrollment fees paid for two years through Compton College’s Oliver W. Conner Promise program. In addition, students receive up to $400 a year for textbooks, course materials and supplies, as well as a free tablet/laptop if students are enrolled full-time at census for the third semester. Students benefit from a two-year savings of more than $3,650.
