Summer Job

It is not too late for teenagers and young adults to get a summer job with the L.A. County Department of Parks and Recreation. However, the positions are specifically for youth between the ages of 18-24, whose parents are receiving benefits through LA County’s General Relief Opportunities for Work (GROW) Program.

No experience is needed. Applications are being accepted now for the summer job positions of Recreational Leader and General Maintenance Staff. Pay is $15 dollars per hour, up to 20 hours per week.

The Department of Public Social Services bills this as an opportunity to work alongside other youth in the community and could lead to permanent employment.

For more information, contact a GROW Case Manager.
