It is a hands-on opportunity to kick start a career with a free technical training program designed for people driven by a sustainable future.

The Willdan Clean Energy Academy is a free 60-hour energy-efficient training program designed towards promoting a future where clean energy is sustainable, affordable, and offers high-paying career opportunities.

Live virtual and hands-on training will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from July 12-23 (Monday-Friday for two weeks) at the Watts Labor Community Action Committee, 10950 S. Central Ave.

The program is designed to prepare students with real-world, technical knowledge about energy efficiency, outreach, education, and implementation assistance initiatives for small commercial properties. Program managers said it will be an opportunity to learn, build your portfolio and will feature professional development.

The academy is also important because the clean energy job market is emerging, with many well-paying jobs. In fact, they are looking to hire for the following positions:

• Energy Service Representative

• Project Coordinator

• QAQC/Inspector

• Installer

The program is free and open to everyone. Applications can be submitted online at tinyurl.com/wcwcea
