The Los Angeles Chargers are now offering fans from 4 to 18 years old the opportunity to work out virtually with NFL players and the team’s assistant strength coach.

Recorded fitness and sports drills are available online at https://parks.lacounty.gov/chargerssportsdrills and the county has planned a livestreamed event featuring players on Thursday, Dec. 10 to wrap up the three-day program.

NFL players and coaches and parks department recreation leaders and players will teach stretching and warm-up exercises, as well as football, boxing, soccer, tennis, golf and volleyball drills and skills.

The program is designed to promote positive self-esteem and teamwork during a time when athletes lack access to facilities and parents are struggling to find activities for kids stuck at home as a result of the pandemic.

The sessions also include tips on how to continue to train at home or at a local park.

All skill levels are welcome. More information can be found at https://parks.lacounty.gov/chargerssportsdrills.
