The fall semester has begun at Antelope Valley College. However a list of “Late Start” classes can be found at https://www.avc.edu/node/3812. Note that starting dates vary between courses. The final day to Drop courses with a “W” for full-term courses is Nov. 6. (No Refund)

At this time, to preserve the safety and health of  students and employees, Antelope Valley College encourages that everything that can be accomplished remotely to be done so. The Fall 2020 Semester will be held predominantly through remote instruction online, however, a number of limited courses will be held through various “modes” including hybrid, blended, or face-to-face. Check class “modes” on the schedule of classes on the website. Instructors will provide individual course details via email.

Read to Succeed (RtS) at AVC Fall 2020 book discussions begin Friday, Sept. 4 at 2 pm. Discussions are one hour via Zoom and are open to AVC students, employees, and the community. For more details and a complete RtS schedule visit: https://bit.ly/326rSsb. To request a Zoom invite to the discussions, contact Dr. Morenike Adebayo-Ige at madebayoige@avc.edu or Dr. Danielle McCabe at dmccabe1@avc.edu.

The information in the COVID-19 Campus Guide (there is one for students and one for employees) will answer many questions about personal and shared responsibilities. Visit https://www.avc.edu/covid-guide for COVID-19 campus guidelines, protocols, and resources. With the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the college’s plan for fall 2020 semester may be modified at any time. Updates will be sent via email, website, and social media.
