Free food distribution at local church

88th Street Temple Church Of God In Christ in partnership with Coronavirus Community Response System of South L.A. (CRSSLA), and community partner Community Build, Inc. (CBI) are all uniting to serve residents who are in need of food within the Athens neighborhood of south Los Angeles!  Free emergency food distribution program 11 a.m. until all food is given out.Tuesday, April 7 at 8825 S. Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90044 (parking lot of 88th Street Temple COGIC)

Uniting in service and responding to the crisis caused by the Coronvirus-19 pandemic, this free event shall bring hope and fresh food to many including children, low-income families, seniors and those who are homeless. Superintendent Anthony L. Williams, Senior Pastor of 88th Street Temple COGIC and Mr. Robert Suasedo, CEO of Community Build, Inc. (CBI) are at the forefront, leading this emergency feeding program on a weekly basis. Working together with their network of volunteers, these passionate and committed community leaders continue to work tirelessly, to ensure that the needs of our community are being met.

Superintendent Anthony L. Williams, Senior Pastor, of 88th Street Temple COGIC, is aware that many people are having anxiety, feeling depressed and hopeless during this unprecedented pandemic. Furthermore, Mr. Robert Sausedo believes that it is imperative that community based organizations take immediate action in service to help bring high quality fresh food and produce into an area within Los Angeles County this is historically under-served.
