Black History Month storyteller at Inglewood Library

The Inglewood Public Library celebrates Black History Month with an educational and interactive storytime performance by award winning storyteller, Michael D. McCarty on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 2:30 p.m., in the Children’s Storytime Room of the Main Library, 101 W. Manchester Blvd.

Everyone is invited to listen in as McCarty tells African-American and African tales that depict the challenges and triumphs of black people throughout the history of the Americas.

McCarty is a multicultural storyteller of African, African-American and international folktales, historical tales, stories of science, spiritual stories as well as stories of the brilliant and absolutely absurd things he has done in his life.
