Classic Christmas movie featured at Palmdale City Library

The Palmdale City Library continues its “Midweek Movies Program” with a showing of the classic ‘90s rated PG movie “Home Alone,” starring Macauley Culkin, Joe Pecci and Daniel Stern. Showtime is on Wednesday, Dec 11 at 5:30 p.m. with free popcorn and admission.

In this Christmas movie, 8-year-old Kevin McAllister (Culkin) must outsmart a pair of thieves (Pecci and Stern) who are planning to rob his house over Christmas when he finds himself home alone after his family accidentally leaves him behind in the rush to get to the airport to spend the holiday in Paris.

Every Wednesday evening, the library hosts free showing of featured films. The upcoming Christmas movies scheduled to be shown on Dec 18, include a trio of 1960s classics: “Frosty the Snowman” (rated G), “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (not rated), and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (rated G).

The Palmdale City Library is located at 700 E Palmdale Blvd, and is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
