The Children’s Center of the Antelope Valley was recently the recipient of a generous donation from a collaboration of local car clubs, a connection which the city of Lancaster was instrumental in forming.

At the city’s 2019 California Poppy Festival™, in the spirit of the festival’s “Always Something New” approach, the city of Lancaster collaborated with local car clubs to introduce a new attraction: the inaugural Modern Muscle versus Import Car Show. This car show was the first time import and modern muscle car clubs partnered with the city of Lancaster for an event.

The local car clubs that participated in the creation of this attraction were “Team Blessed, Ruthless Squad, West Coast Elites,” and “Above Sport.” With assistance from local decal shop Fresh Upgrade, which created a custom vinyl decal for participating cars, the clubs “revved up” awareness throughout the car community. The city also invited the public to join in, generating additional interest in the clubs’ passion for automobiles.

More than 100 cars participated in the Modern Muscle versus Import Car Show. The car clubs collected an entry fee and raised $1,000, which they chose to donate to a local children’s charity—The Children’s Center of the Antelope Valley.
