F. Gary Gray gets star on Walk of Fame

African American film director received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, just 17 days before his latest film hits screens across America. The director of the highly anticipated “Men in Black International” has a number of blockbuster films under his belt, including “Friday,” “Straight Outta Compton,” “A Man Apart,” “The Italian Job,” “Be Cool” and “Set It Off,” just to name a few. He also directed a number of music videos for artists such as Dr. Dre, TLC, Outkast, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Ice Cube. Actors Jamie Foxx and Vin Diesel, both who have starred in Gray-directed films, were at the ceremony. Ice Cube and Tyrese Gibson were also present.  Gray was born in New York City but grew up in South Los Angeles. According to news sources, Gray is the highest grossing African American film director in movie history.
