Sen. Kamala Harris (D-California) drew some big names to a fundraiser Wednesday night. The event was held at the Pacific Palisades home of big time movie producer J.J. Abrams. According to news sources, the cost to get in was $28.000 per person. TV producer Shonda Rhimes hosted the gathering, which was attended by NBCUniversal Vice Chairman Ron Meyer.

Universal Pictures Chair Donna Langley and influential Hollywood agent Michael Kives. Meanwhile, The Hill is reporting that former Vice President Joe Biden is mulling a run at the White House as president, and it’s being reported he is seriously considering asking rising Democratic star Stacey Abrams as his running mate. Biden’s advisers reportedly think naming Abrams as the VP candidate with Biden as president would send a strong message, maining that Biden is not “just another old White guy.”

Abrams ran a strong campaign for governor of Georgia – she lost by a very close margin – and then the Democratic Party chose her to answer President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address. Axios has reported that Abrams and Biden met last week.
