‘Wellness Jubilee’ set Saturday in Compton

Compton College and the Compton Rotary Club invite members of the community, family and friends to a Spring Wellness Jubilee from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 16 at Lueder’s Park Community Center, 1500 E. Rosecrans Ave.

The Spring Wellness Jubilee will provide free blankets, towels, socks and personal hygiene items to attendees, as well as offer free medical screenings. There will be entertainment throughout the day and lunch will be provided by In-N-Out Burger. There will also be a Resource Fair where participants can walk from booth to booth and receive information about health and wellness.

This event is sponsored by Compton Councilman Isaac Galvan (District 2); Blue Shield of California; California Women Infants and Children; Compton College; EZ Party Rentals; In-N-Out Burger; Love Beyond Limits; Mother’s Nutritional Center; Providence Little Company of Mary Wellness and Activity Center; Salon Brandy; St. Francis Medical Center; St. John’s Well Child and Family Center; Starbucks Coffee; The Home Depot; and Tik Tok Services.

Compton College is the community’s education solution offering a full complement of transfer and degree courses, as well as career and technical education. Students may earn an associate degree or certificate, transfer to a four-year university or train for a career. Compton College is located at 1111 E. Artesia Blvd.
