Find Black Santa with this app

For several years, Jihan Woods — a physician, mom and Hampton University alum, struggled to find a Black Santa for her children during the holiday season, reports Black Enterprise. Inspired by finding a Black Santa at a community charity event, Woods launched a Kickstarter campaign in November to create a Find Black Santa mobile app. The app lets those seeking a Santa Claus of color for parties or events, “find a Black Santa with ease every year,” she says. Her Kickstarter campaign exceeded its $4,750 funding goal. With the funds, she was able to create the app, her very first one. The goal of the Find Black Santa app is to present children with positive images of people of color in an effort to play a role in building self-esteem and improving overall well being. Find Black Santa is available on Google Play and will be available soon via IOS (which is Apple systems).
