The Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation (LPACF) invites patrons to dust off their feathers and fedoras for the fifth annual Speakeasy fundraiser at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26.

The Modern Cocktail Society will fill the air with jazz hits, befitting an evening complete with gaming tables, a cigar lounge, hors d’oeuvres, raffle prizes, and a cash bar. Attendees may try their hand at blackjack, poker, craps, and roulette for a chance to win fabulous prizes including dining, entertainment, travel, and more – a roaring good time will be had by all.

The event’s sponsors include: Burkey Cox Evans & Bradford Accountancy Corp.,  Garrison Family Medical Group, H.W. Hunter Inc. and sPower.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the LPAC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Federal Tax ID# 95-4221909), which provides Arts for Youth ticket scholarships and bus funding assistance to thousands of Antelope Valley students, funds outreaches and workshops on local school campuses, and also awards an annual Performing Arts Scholarship in support of higher education within the arts. In addition, the Foundation contributes toward capital and facility enhancements at LPAC, providing a beautiful venue which will continue to serve our community for many years to come.

The Foundation Board of Directors consists of R. Steven Derryberry, president; Dr. John Porter, vice president; Timothy Doerfler, treasurer; Marilyn Norris, secretary, as well as directors Gretchen Anton, Tom Backemeyer, Tim Fuller, Dr. Ric Garrison, Michael Hinckley, Harvey Holloway, Nikki Olofson, George Passantino, Bill Silva and Becky Smith.
