Two people found in an open desert area in Adelanto were identified last weekend as a missing Palmdale couple.

Keith Davis, 87, was found dead in the open desert at 8:47 p.m. Oct. 20 and Pauline Davis, 91, was found alive in the surrounding area and taken to a hospital for treatment.

The couple were located after a civilian riding a quad in the area at 5:24 p.m. found an unattended vehicle, that matched the maroon 2011 Ford Fusion noted in a missing person’s report filed Oct. 16.

Keith Davis suffered from dementia and Pauline Davis has hearing and vision loss, according to the missing person’s report.

“My mother shuffles, she doesn’t walk,’’ Lori Davis, the couple’s daughter told NBC4. “Dad holds on to her and they walk very slowly. They’re like children.’’
