NAEJA banquet set Oct. 27

The National Association for Equal Justice in America (NAEJA) will present on Oct. 27 its 17th Annual “Justice in Sports and Entertainment” event beginning at 6 p.m. at The Proud Bird, 1102 Aviation Blvd., in Los Angeles.

Royce Esters, NAEJA president, will deliver the keynote address. The event will also feature award-winning singer Barbara Morrison.

The NAEJA has for two decades assisted individuals with their civil rights issues, particularly in fostering job opportunities. The group is famous for working with youth to help ensure a positive change in their lives, specifically in relating to increased educational opportunities, resisting peer pressure, conducting anti-bullying campaigns, and reducing crime via the implementation of educational programs.
