The City of Santa Clarita has announced its lineup of September programming at The MAIN. Tickets are now on sale for a variety of shows highlighting comedy and theatre.

Comedy Mashup is a group of working comedians and improvisers from all over Los Angeles that come together once a month to put on a show that is half stand-up comedy and half improv. Headliner K-von is the star of MTV’s hit show “Disaster Date,” and his comedy has received rave reviews on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” Netflix, and Showtime, to name a few. K-von has garnered millions of views online with sketches, standup comedy clips and a viral TED Talk. His show is tonight at 8 p.m., and is geared towards an adult audience. Tickets are $18.

The Society Comedy Troupe will bring their energetic comey team to the main on Saturday. Their format is likened to the TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway,” as they incorporate audience participation while creating improvised music, comedy and scenes. The show will be tomorrow at 8 p.m., and is appropriate for all ages. Tickets are $12 for seniors and students, and $15 for all others.

“Uncommon Women and Others,” follows the bittersweet reunion of five women, six years after their graduation with flashes back to their senior year of college. The diverse young women relive how their new awareness of feminism and the sexual revolution shaped their career goals, dating experiences and identities, at the start of the 1970’s Women’s Liberation Movement.

“As seen through vignettes that are touching, cynical and often funny, these unforgettable women’s ‘uncommon’ attitudes remain as forward-thinking and relevant as ever,” say critiques. Performance dates and times are Sept. 14 and 15 at 8 p.m., and Sept.16 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 for seniors and students, and $20 for adults.

“Surviving the Ride – A One Woman Show,” by Christine Blackburn, tells heartfelt and hilariously woven stories about growing up with no rules, becoming a flight attendant, the ups and downs of the airline industry, her journey to and through the Peace Corps and facing death head on. The performance date is Friday, Sept. 21, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

Olive Branch Theatricals will present a fun-filled, interactive new twist on the classic kids’ tale “Little Red Riding Hood.” This show is appropriate for all ages. Performance dates and times are Sept.28 at 7 p.m., Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Sept. 30 at 2  p.m. Tickets are $12.

The MAIN, located at 24266 Main Street, is the home for music, comedy, film, theatre, visual art, classes, workshops, meetings and serves as the welcome center for visitors to Old Town Newhall. For more information about the shows and purchase tickets, visit AtTheMain.org/tickets.
