The Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District has issued an Air Quality Advisory for the Antelope Valley. This advisory will remain in effect until further notice. High temperatures, increased ozone and other factors are resulting in an Air Quality Index (AQI) forecast of 161 earlier this week in the Antelope Valley.

Smoke from wildfires in the Yosemite area are also forecasted to migrate south and impact the Antelope Valley starting Wednesday and lasting through Friday.

Active children and adults, and people with lung disease, such as asthma, should avoid prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors. Everyone else, especially children, should reduce prolonged or heave exertion outdoors.
