Authorities have identified a man who was killed in a shooting in the Willowbrook area that left a woman wounded.
The crime occurred about 1 a.m. July 29 in the 11900 block of Willowbrook Avenue, said Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Denzel Jones, 22, of Compton died at the scene, the coroner’s office eported. The wounded woman was hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening, Koerner said.
The victims were in a driveway when a suspect approached them from the sidewalk and began shooting in their direction, Koerner said.
No suspect description was released.
